Visiting rowers
Hire the tank
Our tank can be set up for sweep (eight rowers) or sculling (four) and is available for hire, £8pp per hour. Contact boating@thamesrc.co.uk to book.
Boating from Thames for a race
We are happy to welcome competitors in any of the Tideway heads or for regattas such as Putney Town Regatta; however space is limited, particularly for WEHORR and HORR. Please click here to make your request.
Hire boats for a race
We are occasionally able to lend boats out for races such as WEHORR, HORR, HWR or HRR. Please click here to request the use of a Thames boat.
Visit Thames for a training camp
During quieter times, for example the Christmas or Easter holidays, it may be possible to use Thames as a basis for training camps. Use of launches for suitably-qualified drivers can be discussed. Please contact captain Huw Jones for more details, and click here for our Visiting Crew Protocol. The Tideway is one of the busiest stretches of the Thames and has its own particular rules and we ask that visiting crews abide by these, for their own safety.
Rowing while on holiday
Due to the strict safety rules on the Tideway we are unable to loan out singles or small boats for those visiting the UK on holiday or for a short period. If you are keen to get out on the river while in London, we may be able to accommodate you in a crew at our normal training times. Please contact hello@thamesrc.co.uk with dates and details of your experience.
