Thames Rowing Club has some of the best facilities of any club, with a fleet of Empachers and Filippis and two large gyms

The club refurbished its land training and boat storage facilities in 2005 and now has one of the largest and best-equipped clubhouses in the country.
The upstairs gym includes more than 30 Concept 2 ergometers, several RowPerfects, Concept 2 erg bikes, and space for stretching. Downstairs there is a fully-equipped free weights room and rowing tank, which can be set up as an 8+ or 4x.
The fleet predominantly consists of Empachers and Filippis, and is regularly added to. Most recently, the club purchased a women’s Filippi 8+ which won the Wargrave Challenge Cup at Henley Royal Regatta 2022, and an Empacher 4-s for each of the men’s and women’s squads. Further acquisitions are planned in 2022/23.
Members also have access to the club’s bar and reasonably-priced meals are served after training.
