Join Thames in 2018/19
Are you moving to London and keen to continue rowing, or looking to get back into the sport or start it from scratch? Do you want to get fit, win races, and make lifelong friends?
Thames Rowing Club has firmly established itself as one of the world’s top rowing clubs for those who want to work full-time and still win major regattas. We have a coaching team led by three professional coaches, with support from experienced volunteers, and unparalleled facilities including ergs, erg bikes, RowPerfects, a weights room, a tank, and a fleet of Empacher and Filippi shells.
In the last five years the club has:
Won the Thames Challenge Cup for club men’s 8s at Henley Royal Regatta three times, including a final against the Thames B boat in 2017;
Won the Britannia Challenge Cup for club men’s 4+s in 2018, with our 2015 crew reaching the final;
Won the Visitors’ Challenge Cup for intermediate men’s 4-s in 2016;
Made several other semi-finals in the Thames, Britannia and Wyfold Challenge Cups;
Won Elite Lwt 2-, Senior Lwt 1x, Senior 4+ and Intermediate Club 8s at Henley Women’s Regatta;
Qualified five crews for the HWR semi-finals and three for the finals at HWR 2018;
Qualified crews in the Princess Grace, Stonor Challenge Trophy and Hambleden Pairs events for women at HRR;
Won the Vernon Trophy for best Tideway crew at the Head of the River Race in the last three races;
Won a string of Fours Head pennants, including Band 2 4-, Band 2 4x, and Band 2 W4- in 2017;
Won numerous pennants and trophies at novice, junior and masters level.
